This is a photographic series centered around grief/grieving in our society, and the stigma of silence so often surrounding it. When my father passed away, I can recall how alone I felt in my grief. Hearing endless apologies or praises about his life, no one seemed willing to share their grief, to truly empathize. As I moved towards making this series, I wanted to give a comparative nature to it, comprised of images that strike you with a raw, intense quality. Creating a mirrored yet isolated journey of grief between the two subjects, ending with a fractured union in the final image.
