In the search for Venus depicts an intimate examination of my femininity, my body and its comparison to ancient portray- als of Venus. I was 18 years old when I was told by several doctors I had fertility issues, and becoming a mother would be difficult for me. Back then it caused me a frightening shock, I was clueless to the way forward. I have always had issues with accepting my body and femininity and in this series I face my biggest fear, my own body.In the meantime I started searching and looking at several versions of Venus depictions in fine art to compare to my own female body.
