As a visitor to Mexico, I photographed instinctively, responding to Mexico's idiosyncrasies & patterns of life as they appeared to me. Using black and white film imparted a timeless quality, testament to a culture resilient to change, with its values firmly rooted in the past and rich with its own long and extraordinary history. There is an increasingly desperate water supply crisis throughout Mexico. These images illustrate the therapeutic & recreational properties of natural hot springs and accentuate the vital properties of these fragile resources for our wellbeing and very existence.
