Year 1991. A study of the inhabitants of a dilapidated social complex in the inner city - my transition from landscape photography to social documentation. Visiting the residences, spending time with them, hearing the stories of their bravery, struggles, and hardships. At times our conversations were filled with laughter and other times, tears. 30 years later, I feel privileged to have spent this time with them; honoured that they have allowed me into their lives to do this work. I am also distraught knowing the situation within our inner city has not changed much. They deserve so much more.
