Solitude is felt loudly in urban spaces. Photographing vast, World Cities home to millions and millions of stories- lived out by people who I will never meet. The feeling of photographing these places is akin to haunting them. I am the stranger, a figment to be seen and forgotten as I raise my camera on a street corner and make my extraction. The places and people overlap in my memory, as I exist in theirs. An experience emerges- a multiple exposure photograph in which certain, memorable elements form a collage that expresses the character of the city.
