Beyond Mirror’s Gaze: Altered Self-Portraits is a series begun in 2022, exploring identity through double exposures and tactile methods. Using pre-altered or self-treated films and cross processes, I give a material form to my own world of wonder and nightmare. By performing directly in front of a camera loaded with a film I’ve already exposed while daydreaming, I aim to create an intimate exploration of time and space, disturbing the viewer and inviting them to dive into their own contradictions.
