In Chinese traditional culture, mulberry silk holds profound symbolic significance. Silkworm symbolized sacred connections between humans, nature, and the divine. Women played a central role in sericulture and weaving, gaining wealth and social status while shaping traditional culture and spirituality. By the late 20th century, economic reforms and synthetic fibers caused China’s silk industry to decline, eroding traditional crafts and fading cultural memories. I will explore and narrative this valuable traditional culture though the female identity and silkworm spirituality.
