Greatly inspired by the works of Roy DeCarava, I captured some of the best jazz musicians in New York using the light as a character in the photo and never trying to manipulate it. Trying to always capture the most powerful moments of a piece — in the heat of a solo, during the tender delivery of a rubato verse, or when the audience is so silent and fully entranced by the music.
