The idea for this project was born having observed these Cypriot World War Two Veterans, at the yearly parade. Through the years, there were fewer remaining and I realized that somebody should tell their story. I teamed up with journalist Natasha Georgiou and randomly selected 24 Veterans, whom we photographed and interviewed, at their homes. Most of them, at the time, were more than 90 years old. Words cannot describe how proud and honored they felt, that someone took an interest in them, even at this stage of their life. The work was exhibited with great success in Cyprus and London.
