I turn to nostalgia as a cure for the vertigo I experience with the maelstrom of images flowing through social media. Nostalgia is both in the objective of this project and in the medium used to achieve it. The objective: a series of portraits of people walking the streets of my city, which convey a certain timelessness to me. The medium: a medium-format film camera with a viewfinder that is a square mirror where things are seen upside down. A mini portable time machine. Using this device transforms the production process into a ritual, where time plays an important role at all times.
