The photographer ventured into Tibetan regions in both 2013 and 2024. In just a decade, the rapid transformation of an ethnic minority's cultural environment is palpable. The ancient faith intertwined with the modernization of mainstream society creates a profound sense of detachment. Even though we understand that the development of a nation inevitably entails the loss of certain traditions, it still evokes a deep sadness. Death always brings new life, yet this process also blurs boundaries, which is equally unsettling. This compels us to ponder: What truly constitutes the best of times?
