This series was shot on the Faroe Islands during a visit here in 2024. I have used my trusty Hasselblad 500C with Distagon 50mm lens and loaded with Ilford Delta 100 film. The films were developed by a professional lab after which I digitized the negatives with my DSLR. Further post-processing was done in Lightroom, Photoshop and Silver Efex. My intention was to document both the emptiness and ruggedness of these remote islands. I wanted to create a timeless series in which the ominous mountains and fjords compete with the beauty of it.
