The series tells a personal story of a forced journey — from the embattled eastern region of Ukraine to the quieter, safer West. Through these works, I share my perception of the city that has temporarily become my home until the war ends. A city of over 700,000 souls, where every street is filled with strangers. A city where you cannot stumble upon an old friend, a neighbor, a classmate — not even a fleeting connection from another life. A city whose landscapes stir no memories of childhood, no echoes of home. A city bound to me by nothing but a slow, heavy, endless waiting.
