Photographs from my book, AMERICOLOR: Exploring Urban Color Fields, published in 2024 with Palm Beach Atlantic University. My intention for this 20 year personal project has been to simply record my perceptions of color that I thought were extraordinary in mundane ordinary situations. That process allows me to experience color viscerally through the act of mindfully slowing down and observing my own awareness of the scene. This style of meditative practice has transformed my practice and my life, from living mostly in my thoughts to more fully experiencing the world.
