"Los hijos de Papantla" is a 35mm documentary photo series shot on analog Astrum 100 film. It captures the dance of the Voladores de Papantla, a Totonac ritual that honors nature and the spiritual world, connecting earth and sky. The images were taken during the León Fair in Guanajuato, Mexico. The series portrays this sacred tradition with raw realism and a dreamlike tone, suspended between the ground and the heavens.
