On the beaches of Mazatlán, Sinaloa—where I was born—I found myself in a quiet moment of reflection, thinking about how deeply connected we all are, and how much we influence one another in a world that moves fast and constantly pushes us into standards that often make us lose ourselves. I took this Polaroid 600 right at the line where the ocean meets the infinite. Then, I submerged it in the sea. The saltwater left a mark, an imperfection that, in its own way, feels more honest than perfect.
