This series explores what lies between the self and the other, between the courage to protect one's own boundaries and the openness to respect those of others. In between, we find ourselves – with our wishes, needs, and dreams. Some limits blur, others remain unspoken – sometimes even to ourselves. This ongoing series, photographed on black-and-white 35mm film and altered by hand, traces the subtle space between recognizing and preserving what is one’s own – one's needs, values, and limits. A visual expression of what moves within us, before it finds its way into words.
