Descent Into Self

  • Photographer
    Jac Carriere, United States
  • Prize
    Honorable Mention

I take photographs to remember what my brain bends backwards to recall, Let the ghosts of bygones Test the salt of my intuition, Kill the self that suffocates And slap the hand that feeds Fear to the ego. Eat the flesh. Suck the rind. Reduce. Pit the pith from the skin And rest in the rinse. Let soak. Soil the self in sublimation. It’s a doggy paddle in the pacific. Tutto passa.
