Uncovering a box of letters by my grandfather to my father in the 1970s, I began integrating these archival materials into my darkroom practice. Captivated by the delicate, translucent fibers of the letter paper, I used them as negatives to create photograms, combining with my own photographs via masking and double exposure. Echoing my grandfather's handwriting, I added chemigrams with my fingermarks. This process became a cross-generational collaboration-- a visual translation where memory, family matters, and identity converge in the darkroom.
