WINNERS

The icy trees and ferns of the border region of Belgium in the Schwambach Valley were my place to immerse myself in the woods. Not far from an icy birch tree at the edge of the forest, I saw these antlers and skull lying in the frozen grass. The animal had probably died there. Later, I saw the remaining skeletal parts in the immediate vicinity, gnawed down to the bone, which finally showed me that a magnificent stag had found its final resting place here and had probably died of natural causes.
