This series of images are from a personal project documenting people and their allotment. Many people rent allotments to grow their own food and eat more organically. These spaces are special, not only as a place to grow your own food but also as a peaceful sanctuary to escape to, a place of greater importance where you can also help heal the body and mind. I have spent many days on allotments talking with the people, hearing their stories and taking their portraits. I chose to shoot this project using my Hasselblad 500c & Kodak Gold as I wanted a more natural & friendly feel to the imagery.
