This photograph was taken at my grandmother’s traditional courtyard house in Tainan. Now 90 years old, she still insists on hanging laundry, cooking, and tending the garden all by herself every day. This moment captures her sitting at the entrance of her home, a quiet instance that speaks to her deep connection with the space. What the film preserves is a tenderness and resilience I never want to forget.
