In a mountain village in Northeast China, my grandmother has returned to live here, in the place they once called home. The red Fu characters mark the Spring Festival. After two decades, our family has come back to celebrate together. No matter how the house changes, one thing remains: a Chairman Mao badge hanging on the wall. My grandmother, a Communist Party member for over fifty years, still keeps it there. It’s not just decoration, it’s memory and identity. Winters here bring heavy snow. The mountains dissolve into soft mist. I am still here-camera in hand-capturing every fleeting moment.
