The horses of the Caucasus are a special breed. They are sure-footed, have incredible endurance, can climb the highest mountains and are trustworthy companions, all while staying wild at heart and in practice. I had the pleasure of seeing them roam wild in the mountains of Georgia as well as riding them on a 10-day expedition into the Caucasus, climbing 3000m passes, riding through thunderstorms and past rock avalanches. They have carried me with care and made it easy to trust them with my life. I continue to be impressed by them.
