This ongoing series investigates the nature of photographs and perception, utilizing poles, shadows, and reflections to isolate and repurpose the natural order of lived experience. Compositions include humans to orient and ground the viewer before enduring a cycle of questioning and discovery. Each moment is captured on 4x5-inch color transparency film; a choice that serves the sole purpose of validating the authenticity of fleeting sensations. By presenting the unmanipulated reality of the transparency, these images invite us to rethink photography beyond a digitally-inclined visual culture.
