These were the words spoken by Ignazio Emmolo immediately after the fire that destroyed the furnace he had designed, built, and managed in the few years he operated. The feelings of anger and profound disappointment over the arson inflicted on his beloved creation, for which he had sacrificed part of his professional life, accompanied him until the end of his days, which he spent keeping his promise.
