Growing up, my sister and I shared a bedroom. When we entered puberty, our stepfather began molesting us. He would enter our room at night, crawling on his hands and knees, holding a flashlight. He would begin with my sister, and then he would turn on me. So, I understand deeply the suffering of the Epstein victims. Virginia Giuffre, an outspoken survivor, created the organization, "Speak Out, Act, Reclaim." The group uses a butterfly to represent the transition from sexual abuse victim to survivor. For me, this symbol resonates. I hope to make 1,000 chemigram butterflies, one for each girl.
