From 1992-2002 I made multiple trips to India, Pakistan and Nepal for documentary work. My format of choice was 120mm color negative film.I was often in small or remote villages where I was absorbed in daily lives of the people living there. As a Westerner, I stuck out like a sore thumb, access to the daily rhythm of life in these locations was possible. I've always felt the women's exclusiveness of "Two Women in a Doorway", and the photographic relationship with "Rug Washer". Most telling of my presence in these locations is "2 Afghan Boys", everyone is laughing and joking about me.
