Winter allows us to see the true shape of the tree, outlined against the sky it is a forceful reminder of its beauty. Exploring the versatility of film with 9 multiple exposures, the surrounding landscape fades into the background with each exposure, resulting in an impressionistic form of the tree. 9 trees is the number required to balance the average UK citizen’s yearly carbon consumption. Planting trees and creating more woodlands needs to start now, to help tackle the climate crisis and to maintain local biodiversity that makes up our fragile natural world.
