I have chosen ‘pictorialism’ style for these two submissions. This photo movement which started in the late 19th century, was a backlash against sharp commercial imagery. Instead we see more emotion with these painterly images which I believe are more beautiful and achievable for being shot on film. Image 1. Ghosty and Coco are professional performers. This shoot was taken on very remote beach location in the South of Taiwan. Image 2. For the Love of Tango. Two professional dancers in a deserted warehouse: I wanted to convey sexual tension between two male characters during a dance routine.
