Catching the moment between Rupture and Fusion is the meaning behind this unique mix of analog techniques. When lifted from the Polaroid I paint with the emulsion, giving shapes to my images with a brush. Then, under the enlarger, I paint with the light, sculpting with my hand the beam of light that goes on the photo-sensitive paper, modeling the print. During two of the seven steps of developing the photography, I paint with the chemicals, brushing and projecting it on the paper, fading or increasing them.
