This project is a visual investigation of Crete’s geological and cultural landscapes- where a network of caves and tunnels acts as a physical manifestation of the cradle of Western philosophy. Through a blend of documentary exploration and conceptual reflection, the work traces a line from the civilization’s Arche- its origin and earliest advanced architectural remains- to its Telos; the ultimate purpose and fulfilment of our journey as humans. By incorporating fragments of Knossos the series references Minoan culture as the bedrock of our modern world.
