The analogue photographic series began with the diagnosis of the photographer’s tongue cancer and moves rhythmically between abstracted images of the author’s psychological interior and depictions of his physical surroundings. A large portion of the photographs is marked by the hospital environment, which the photographer approaches with a sense of novelty and curiosity. Due to the rapid progression of events, certain images convey a pronounced emotional detachment, or the artist’s desire to make sense of his position within a hospital environment that was otherwise familiar to him.
