Near Dukana, on the Kenyan-Ethiopian border, live the Gabra—wanderers of the Chalbi desert and pastoral nomads of Northern Kenya's arid highlands. A 691km journey north to Marsabit County. In a week spent in Marsabit County—welcomed into homes, I sought to document not hardship but the resilience and warmth that define the people who opened their doors and made me feel at home in a place where language was a barrier.
