A few years ago, I moved from France to Montréal, Canada. On my first days there, I walked around the city for hours. One day, the sun was getting low and I passed by a diner. The colours, the light, the fabric on the bench seats, the warmth and atmosphere - I loved it all. I took this photograph and went away. I spent two years living in Montréal, and I have never been able to find it again. It is as if it vanished, or as if I made it all up in my head. Now I’ve moved back to France, and the mystery remains. But I think I like it this way.
