Capturing drifting at The Rock Raceway placed me inside the energy of machine, environment and community. The sound of engines, smoke and screeching tyres created a rhythm that moved through drivers, spectators and myself. Photographing on film heightened the intensity, forcing me to anticipate every moment. This image captures connection, movement and my shift from observer to participant.
