Tethered is a photographic exploration that blends traditional darkroom techniques with experimental processes. Most images are created by exposing the same photographic paper more than once, introducing light and other experimental interventions and intentionally combining different images. By using varied media and textures, Irina explores this tension, underscoring the sensation of being both attached to and distanced from people, objects, experiences, and emotions.
