This image is part of my ongoing exploration of analogue experimentation and the emotional possibilities of film. I’m interested in how instability — through colour shifts, grain, exposure, and process — can change the way a landscape is felt rather than simply recorded. The tree stands alone but doesn’t feel static to me. The altered tones and imperfect surface push it away from straightforward documentation into something more uncertain and emotional, closer to memory or atmosphere than place.
