'In Between' emerges from an attempt to capture unique and nostalgic moments, to grasp what has been and what is present in that instant that has already passed. Brief interactions with people who, despite being so close by blood, are distant, led me to reflect on the dichotomy between what is near and what is far, and on who becomes present and familiar by choice. Through portraits of family members and close friends, this series is an attempt to create closeness through imagery, a personal response to this spatial and emotional hiatus.
