My mother passed away in April 2026, and in this project I process her death and one month illness that preceded it. My family's life turned upside down when we discovered that Mom had cancer, and photography served as my refuge during this period. At first we were hopeful, then uncertainty, urgency and sadness imbued our everyday lives. The photos live on as imprints of this burdened emotional state. In addition to processing this event, my goal is also to draw attention to the fragile and transient nature of human life.
