This series explores the quiet toll of collective action through portraits of protesters at rest.Shot on 35mm film during the 2025 April 25th march in Lisbon, 51 years after the Carnation Revolution, the series documents demonstrators outside the expected visual language of protests.Capturing pauses between chanting and marching, the work frames resistance not only as confrontation, but as the endurance required to sustain it. It invites reflection beyond the visibility and momentum of protests, toward the physical and emotional impact of prolonged civic engagement among those who resist daily.
