Created with an expired pack of Polaroid 600 film, this photograph is the only surviving image from an entire eight-shot pack. Only the final exposure revealed a fragmented presence. The film’s unpredictable chemical deterioration reshaped the portrait, revealing a vanishing self suspended between two identities. Rather than hiding the subject, these imperfections suggest an identity that has yet to fully emerge.
