I describe my experiences during a photo shoot where massive concrete pillars rising from the ground created a mystical atmosphere. While I was taking photos, fog suddenly rolled in, allowing me to create unique images. Later, however, a disaster struck my darkroom: a burst hot-water pipe turned the room into a hot, humid sauna, causing the negatives to stick to their sleeves. Despite the chaos, I managed to print the images; they yielded unexpected results and a harmonious graphic effect that I saw as a stroke of good fortune.
