In the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, northern Colombia, not many years ago a cruel violence reigned. It never fully vanished—it lives on in memory. At certain hours fog swallows the mountains, hiding the beauty behind it. Violence does the same: except for the unsuspecting traveler, it stays suspended in the air, leaving the landscape in a distant background. Shot entirely on film, this series doesn't show violence—it shows what remains once it turns invisible.
