A small, single sock, dropped on a street corner - the start of an ordinary mishap. Following an unspoken local custom, a passerby wedges it into the gap of a bulletin board's glass, so its owner might find it. A full day passes; no one comes. Then, on the day the rain begins, a quiet miracle: another unknown hand carefully rewraps it in a clear plastic bag to keep it dry. An anonymous, almost stubborn tenderness - passed from hand to hand like a relay through the city. In an age when almost anything can be faked, I shoot it on film - proof that this small kindness was real.
