After reading On Time and Water, written by Icelandic poet Andri Snær Magnason, one memorable metaphor stayed with me: to calculate the time that connects my family across generations. My nephew, born this year, could extend our family's living connection to the year 2200. A 264-year-long connection represents the time that I can touch with my own hands, the time I will shape. Photographed in Iceland over the past three years, the series of glaciers reflects on time, the fragility of nature, reality and the delicate ways we humans connect with and become disconnected from our surroundings.
