The series "Intrinsic" of L'Hemisfèric in Valencia, designed by Santiago Calatrava, emphasises the interplay between function, interior, construction and exterior. The layout and form are logically derived from the use of the spaces. Fragments of the facades reveal the direct relationship with both the interior and the structure. Rhythms, patterns, scale and shadows reinforce each other and create a harmonious coherence. The interplay between the mentioned aspects becomes clearly visible here; an inseparable connection between the interior and the exterior.
