Shot around the Spring Equinox, the series is a pause and an offering in an instant between light & dark. Tracing the shifting seasons, sensing the cosmos at our feet. Paying attention to the minutiae that make up the whole, seeing galaxies in lichen spirals etched in stone. Sunlight is a force felt in every bloom and body, connecting us to all that surrounds us. The images, made on a toy camera, produce glitchy, unstable images burnt into receipt paper. On the cusp between coherence and abstraction, part-analogue & part-digital, they blur the boundaries between us and the material ‘other’.
