Loss does not end when someone is gone. It settles quietly within us, becoming part of who we are and how we move through the world. "What We Carry Within" is a series of chemilumens that reflects my experience of grief and the emotional imprints that remain long after loss. I use broken flowers as a metaphor for endurance. Their fractured forms don't speak of imperfection, but of lives shaped by loss. These works invite us to look beneath the surface and recognise that the marks we bear are not simply reminders of what we have lost, but of what we continue to hold.
