Reflections of the Sea explores human impact on Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca. Through a liquid mirror, daily life unfolds as fishermen and tourists intertwine. Yet beneath this reflection lies a scar: an excavator removes an old pier that once damaged the region's iconic wave. Nature itself, through a hurricane, reclaimed its space and tore down the structure. Today, removing its debris closes a cycle of healing—where the water reflects not just life above, but an ecosystem reclaiming its freedom.
